Welcome to the Murray Musical 2024
Introducing Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr.! Based on the acclaimed films and Tony®-winning Broadway musical, Beauty and the Beast JR., is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance.
No prior acting experience is necessary. Our goal is to create an environment where every student can succeed and be a part of a great performance.

Casting Day: Friday, December 1 (slots available between 3:30 and 7:30pm)
Read-Through/Meet & Greet: Monday, December 11
Rehearsals: Wednesday, January 3 through Friday, January 19th (see Rehearsal Calendar for details)

***Space is limited. 25 kids per grade per cast. Waitlist Available.***
Registration
Students in grades 3-5 are eligible to participate. All 3rd grade participants will be part of the ensemble (no individual roles).
No prior acting experience is necessary. Our goal is to create an environment where every student can succeed and be a part of a great performance.

Cost: Grade 3 = $160 per student.
Grade 4/5 = $180 per student

NOTE: 3rd graders attend only the first hour of rehearsal Wed. Jan. 3 - Fri. Jan 12, then full rehearsals Tuesday, January 16th and Wednesday, January 17th.

Rehearsal Dates

CASTING DAY (4th and 5th Graders Only): Friday, December 1st – 3:30pm-7:30pm ET – IN PERSON AT MURRAY – AUDITORIUM/GAME ROOM. Children will be asked to register for a specified time slot during the afternoon. Sandbox would like to hear each 4th and 5th grade child to find the best part for person. 3rd graders are automatically part of the ensemble and do not have to participate in Casting Day.

Dress Rehearsals
Attendance and Location
Students are expected to attend ALL scheduled rehearsals and meetings.
Casting Day, Read-Through, Rehearsals and Performances will be held in the Auditorium
The musical is dependent upon the support of parent volunteers. We expect almost 75 kids per cast to participate and will need a lot of help. Please remember to volunteer for a shift during rehearsals.
